Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is proposing a more formal process for determining drainage and wastewater requirements that mirrors the Water Availability Certificate (WAC) process. This process is designed to provide early notification of drainage and wastewater requirements including any required system improvements. In April, SPU received feedback regarding the pros and cons of the WAC process from the Master Builders Association as well as other individuals from the development and engineering community. SPU is now prepared to present the proposed process for Drainage and Wastewater Availability Certificates.
