- CAM 124, Renewal and Reestablishment Process for Construction and Land Use Permits, updated to reflect the revised process to renew or reestablish a building permit by making the request online ( http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/eplan/) rather than by filling out a paper form and either mailing, faxing or bringing it into the office.

- DR 6-2011, Implementing of Energy Performance Benchmarking, defines the department’s requirements for complying with the City’s Building Energy Benchmarking and Reporting Program, which requires nonresidential buildings over 10,000 square feet and multifamily buildings with five or more units, to annually benchmark and report their energy performance, beginning April 1, 2012. Comments regarding this rule must be sent to Jayson Antonoff, jayson.antonoff@seattle.gov, by 5:00 p.m. December 20, 2011.

DR 1-2012, Implementation of the Fee Subtitle, Building Valuation Data, updates the Building Valuation Data for 2012 by formally modifying and adopting the ICC August 2011 Building Valuation Data pursuant to the standards outlined in DPD Director’s Rule 2-2011. DR 18-2011, General Duties And Responsibilities Of Geotechnical Engineers, supersedes Director’s Rule 33-2006. The purpose of this rule is to define the department’s requirements for geotechnical engineers who are hired by permit applicants to analyze surface and subsurface conditions on a site.
