The Mayor’s recommendations to update the City’s Shoreline Master Program were delivered to City Council on September 4, 2012. The City Council’s Planning, Land Use and Sustainability (PLUS) Committee has scheduled a public hearing for October 15, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. After City Council approves the amendments to Seattle’s Shoreline Master Program, the amended Shoreline Master Program will be delivered to the State Department of Ecology for their approval.
The Mayor’s recommendations to update Seattle’s Shoreline Master Program, including a report of DPD’s Director, proposed amendments to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, maps depicting proposed changes to the boundaries of some shoreline environments, and a Shoreline Restoration and Enhancement Plan, required under state guidelines, are available at www.seattle.gov/dpd/Planning/ShorelineMasterProgramUpdate/Overview.
