The Seattle Planning Commission welcomes Jesseca Brand as their new policy analyst. Brand replaces Katie Sheehy, who has joined the DPD’s planning office.
Jesseca comes to the Seattle Planning Commission after 15 years working in the non-profit sector. Most recently, Jesseca was the King County Program Manager for Washington Conservation Voters, a non-profit environmental organization. There she worked with a volunteer board to weigh in on issues relating to city infill projects, comprehensive plan updates, and transportation.
“Jesseca brings an impressive compliment of skills and experience to our team. Her background working on land use and transportation issues in Seattle, in conjunction with her strong relationship-building skills and passion for urban planning, will be a tremendous asset to the important work of the commission.” stated Barbara Wilson, Seattle Planning Commission Director.
Jesseca is a graduate of Seattle University, where she received a Master of Public Administration and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
“Seattle is such a great place to live and now is an exciting time in planning and development for the future of our city. I have always respected greatly the work of the planning commission and I am very excited to be joining the team.” stated Brand.
