Interested in installing a rain garden or cistern? Come to the free RainWise Contractor Fair on April 23. At this event, you will learn about rain gardens and cisterns and how they add value to your yard and protect the environment. The RainWise program offers eligible homeowners a rebate to help cover costs. The average RainWise rebate is $4,500. Check your eligibility at www.rainwise.seattle.gov.

Come to the RainWise Contractor Fair to:
- Meet contractors who can help you find out what you can do on your property
- Learn how the rebate works for you
- Learn about side sewer permit requirements
- Get information about location restrictions (such as steep slopes) related to rain gardens or cisterns
Seattle DCI will have information tables at this event where you can talk with inspectors about your project. This is a great opportunity for free one-on-one help navigating side sewer connections for your rain garden or cistern project (if needed). We will also have electrical inspectors at the event to answer questions about permitting water pumps and similar systems. Inspectors will also be able to answer permitting questions related to some other home improvement projects.
