The DPD Land Use program is preparing to implement a monthly billing system to support the Master Use permit (MUP) process. Fees for MUPs are charged at an hourly rate, and can vary based on design considerations, project complexity, public interest, appeal hearings, and customer’s preparedness. Currently, customers are not billed for hourly charges until most of the review has been performed and the decision is awaiting publication.
The new billing system will provide customers with a monthly statement reflecting review time spent on a project during the previous month. DPD anticipates that the monthly billing cycle will allow customers to track review time spent on their project and allow for incremental payments for that time, while providing a more predictable way for DPD to collect permit revenues owed.
We anticipate sending monthly statements beginning in April.
In preparation for this new billing process and to bring projects current with regards to outstanding fees, some statements will be sent out prior to April. If you receive a statement please follow the instructions and make your payments promptly.
