A second Seattle City Council hearing on the proposed South Downtown legislation was held on November 22, 2010. In spite of snow, the hearing was well-attended. Council members heard from members of the community about a range of issues including application of incentive zoning in South Downtown, proposed heights and densities, and possible effects of zoning on small businesses east of Interstate 5. The City Council Committee on the Built Environment will continue deliberations on the South Downtown bill later in December and continuing through early 2011.
