Director’s Rules
NEW
- DR 11-2011, Alternate Means of Compliance to Energy Code Requirements for On-Site Renewable Energy Systems, provides alternate means for compliance with Chapter 16 On-Site Renewable Energy Systems of the 2009 Seattle Energy Code.
- DR 8-2011, Parking Reductions Based On Frequent Transit Service. The City’s Land Use Code provides for no minimum parking required or allows parking amounts to be reduced by 20% if a site is located with ¼ mile (1,320 feet) of a transit stop with “frequent service”. Lots meeting these locational requirements are generally mapped in order to determine eligibility of a property for the reduction in parking requirements. Director’s Rule 8-2011 describes the method for measuring the ¼ mile distance and information about how frequent transit service is determined in circumstances where there is uncertainty or a property may not be mapped in order to determine an applicants’ eligibility for reduced or no parking requirements.
