The City Council’s Planning, Land Use and Sustainability Committee has scheduled a public hearing for the Shoreline Master Program (SMP). The public hearing will be Monday October 15, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall at 600 Fourth Avenue.

After City Council approves the amendments to Seattle’s Shoreline Master Program, the amended SMP will be delivered to the State Department of Ecology for their approval.
The Mayor’s recommendations to update Seattle’s SMP, including a report of the Planning and Development Director, proposed amendments to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, maps depicting proposed changes to the boundaries of some shoreline environments, and a Shoreline Restoration and Enhancement Plan, required under state guidelines, are available at www.seattle.gov/dpd/Planning/ShorelineMasterProgramUpdate/.
