Here is a sneak peek of what to expect at the 23rd Avenue Joint Community Workshop & Open House on Saturday, June 29th (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) at the Garfield Community Center.
The day will begin at 9 a.m. with both projects (23rd Avenue Action Plan and 23rd Avenue Corridor Improvement Project) hosting neighborhood open houses.
Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will present their proposed plan for the 23rd Avenue Corridor Improvement Project. Participants will be invited to view what is being proposed, hear a brief presentation, and engage in a short instant polling survey.
At the same time, the Department of Planning & Development (DPD) will also be hosting an open house for the 23rd Avenue Action Plan project, featuring the input you and other Central Area stakeholders provided during the April workshop and through the online and in-person questionnaire. You’ll be given the opportunity to confirm what we heard, review proposed strategies and action items, and discover which topic interests you most.
Around 10 a.m. we will all come together in the gymnasium for the workshop portion of the day. The workshop will include confirming and prioritizing strategies and action items, as well as laying the foundation for action teams and partnerships who will take the lead in implementing the Action Plan.
There will be more information coming your way between now and June 29th. In the meantime, spread the word (see this flier) or contact us if you have any questions.
