We want to know what you think about our annual North Seattle and South Seattle Home Fairs. Please take just 4 minutes to fill out this survey about the Home Fairs and the presentations. This is your chance to let us know what you like about the events and what you think we should change about them.
We host these free, annual events usually in January and/or February. They are jam-packed with useful information about rental housing rules, our permitting and inspection process, emergency preparedness, and much more. Additionally, there were breakout sessions taught by experts. This year’s presentations were on landslide prevention, accessory dwelling units (ADU), and earthquake retrofits.
This year we were joined by several other departments and organizations. RainWise was there to help you figure out if you are eligible for a rebate for installing a rain garden or cistern on your property. Seattle Hubs was there to teach you how the Emergency Communications Hubs function, where they’re located, and how to be prepared and communicate during an emergency. The Seattle Office for Civil Rights educated renters and buyers about their right to be free from discrimination and to provide technical assistance to owners and landlords about how to comply with fair housing laws. Seattle City Light showed up at the South Seattle Home Fair with some awesome light-up gadgets! Each year, these organizations, and several others, gather to make sure to have answers for all your questions in one place.
Please take our survey to help us make the 2021 North and South Seattle Home Fairs even better. Keep an eye on our Building Connections Newsletter this fall for details about upcoming events.
