COVID-19 Site Safety Requirements and Documentation

Construction of a tall building.

Update July 22, 2021: As of July 26, 2021, SDCI is no longer requiring this documentation.

SDCI requires documentation of compliance before the first inspection for each permit on a project site. The contractor must send an email with the required COVID site safety documentation to SDCI which must include the record number of your project in the subject line, and the name and phone number of the COVID site safety contact in the body of the email.

The easiest way to email your COVID site safety documentation to SDCI is from a link on the Seattle Services Portal. You simply click that link and it will open an email from your device’s email application. Our system auto-populates your record number and subject line. You simply add your name and phone number in the body of the email and hit send. A copy of this is uploaded to your record, which your inspector will confirm and make a note that it was received.

This process is for construction and trade permits. For first inspections of trade permits related to construction permits, complete the same process. Be sure to copy the general contractor in the email so SDCI can confirm the site safety requirements are in place.
