Each year, we host the Seattle Home Fair, a free community event designed to help residents better understand City services, permitting processes, and the rules that may impact their homes or projects. Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, landlord, or planning your very first renovation, the Home Fairs offer something for everyone.
What is the Seattle Home Fair?
The Home Fair brings together City experts to answer your questions and help you navigate a wide range of topics, including:
- Earthquake retrofits
- Seattle Tree regulations
- Rental housing standards
- Permit requirements and processes
This year, we partnered with Seattle Department ofTransportation, Seattle City Light, the Office of Housing, and the Department of Neighborhoods to provide a truly one-stop experience. Attendees had the chance to talk directly with staff across departments, saving time, reducing back-and-forth, and getting clear guidance all in one place.
