We just changed the name of our Client Assistant Memos (CAMs) to Tips. The Tip numbers have stayed the same. We made this change to clarify what these documents offer our customers.
May Publication Updates

What’s Changing on DPD’s Website?
We have almost finished a redesign of our website, www.seattle.gov/dpd. We will be releasing the new site in a couple of months. We think you’ll find our simpler design, with “plain language” content, easier to use and understand. Our site has a new focus on making things easier for the first-time user, but we’ve also made sure our frequent users have easy access to their favorite information and tools with our “Dig Deeper” sections.

Revised Effective Date for 2012 Codes

April Publication Updates

Preliminary Recommendations for Developing Small Single-Family Lots
DPD’s preliminary recommendations (http://bit.ly/YrPoGI) were presented on the March 14, 2013 meeting of the City Council’s Planning Land Use and Sustainability Committee (PLUS). At that meeting, DPD provided PLUS with a preliminary briefing, so that the committee members could provide guidance to DPD on the recommendations memo before it is presented to the public for comment and discussion.
2012 Code Adoption Update
DPD is on schedule for new editions of seven codes to take effect next summer or fall. Public review of the 2012 Seattle building, residential, existing building, mechanical, fuel gas, energy and plumbing codes is almost complete. We expect the ordinances adopting these codes to take effect this summer, followed by a 60-day period during which applicants can use either the 2009 or 2012 codes.
