Mayor Bruce Harrell is recruiting to fill a vacancy on the Seattle Design Commission for a licensed Professional Engineer. The two-year term for this position will start following Council confirmation, estimated to occur by May 2022. Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The 10‐member commission is comprised of architects, artists, urban designers, urban planners, landscape architects, civil engineers, a member‐at‐large, and one member from Get Engaged, the YMCA Young Civic Leaders Program.
Seattle Design Commission Announces Two New Appointments
The Seattle Design Commission is happy to announce to new appointments. Lee Copeland, FAIA, is an architect, urban designer and educator with more than 50 years of experience. Thaddeus Egging, PE, LEED AP BD+C, is an Associate at KPFF Consulting Engineers.
New Commissioners Sought for Seattle Design Commission
The City is looking for new Seattle Design Commission members to fill two upcoming vacancies – one for a registered architect and the other for an experienced surface water management design professional, preferably a civil engineer. Both positions will start their terms in March 2014. Deadline to apply is December 15, 2013.
