The City’s updated environmentally critical areas regulations became effective on May 15, 2017. In addition to the updated regulations, SDCI has updated DR 5-2007, Great Blue Heron Management Plan. SDCI published the proposed Director’s Rule on Thursday, May 25, in the Land Use Information Bulletin. SDCI is taking comment on the updated Director’s Rule through June 9, 2017.

DPD pulled two Tips related to interim parking lots and updated a Tip on backyard cottages and one on weed and vegetation. We released a draft Director’s Rule with edits to the RRIO checklist.
November Publication Updates
DPD published a draft Director’s Rule about implementing the fee subtitle. We also published a final Director’s Rule on tenant relocation assistance and five final joint DPD / SDOT Director’s Rules.
Street Concept Plans for Public Review
DPD and the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) are releasing final versions of several streetscape concept plans for public comment. The streetscape plans are guides for improvements to streets and sidewalks that can be made over time when new buildings are built, or with city sponsored projects. These streetscape plans were done as part of our planning in neighborhoods throughout the city over the past few years.
