SDCI will soon implement a new plan review process using the Bluebeam software application. We will stop sending out standard letter-based corrections for plan-based reviews and begin providing marked-up documents created using Bluebeam. This transition aligns us with many of our neighboring jurisdictions in regard to plan reviews.
Plans Submitted for Electronic Review Must Include Space for Approval Stamp
Since Seattle DCI started the electronic plan pilot (the Seattle DCI Project Portal), we have instructed applicants to provide a dedicated space for approval stamps, preferably in the lower right hand corner of each plan sheet. Beginning January 4, 2016 we will reject all plan sets for Construction and Land Use that do not include this dedicated space (excluding surveys).

Electronic Plan Review: Seeking Public Input
For more than two years, DPD has been working with volunteer applicants to test our electronic plan review service. This process will allow customers to submit their plans electronically and provide cost savings by reducing paper usage, time spent reproducing and consolidating plan sets and eliminating most trips to DPD.
EPlan Review Pilot Project Update
Electronic plan submission and review is now in the pilot project stage. DPD will be working with 45 applicants to develop processes and technology for electronic submission and review of plan sets for building and land use permits.
