The Department of Planning and Development (DPD) is hosting a Priority Green open house on January 23, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to noon. Come learn how Priority Green, DPD’s voluntary green building incentive program is changing in 2014, and how it complements conservation goals at Seattle City Light and Seattle Public Utilities.
DPD and the Uptown Alliance are cohosting an Uptown community open house to kick off a year-long planning effort that will result in an Urban Design Framework (UDF) for the Uptown Urban Center.

When does the Seattle Shoreline Master Program (SSMP) allow floating residences? DPD has been asked to provide a Director’s Rule to assist owners of vessels and other floating properties currently moored in Seattle waters who seek to use those properties as residences. The rule will provide criteria for determining whether a floating residence meets SSMP requirements. The rule will not apply to floating homes or house barges.
Join DPD on September 21 for our last community meeting featuring an open house and community action team workshop. At the open house, the community will have an opportunity to review and comment on the draft 23rd Avenue Action Plan to ensure it reflects the shared community vision developed over the past year. There will also be a Community Resource Fair at the open house, where the community will be able to connect with organizations already doing great work in the neighborhood.

This will be a joint community engagement effort for two projects: the 23rd Avenue Corridor Improvement Project and the 23rd Avenue Action Plan.
