Thank you to everybody that attended the Seattle Home Fairs on January 29 and January 30. We had about 400 attendees join us over the two days! We were happy that so many of you were able to join us. If you missed the Home Fairs, or want to watch a different session, the recordings, presentations, and resources are now available on our Seattle Home Fairs webpage.
Tenant Services Grants Request for Proposals
The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections is seeking proposals for Tenant Services Grants for the City of Seattle. These grants are meant to fund organizations to help tenants learn and enforce their rights and learn about the resources available to them. With all the tenant legislation this year at both the state and City levels, it is more important than ever that tenants understand what these new laws mean for them.
Save the Dates for the Seattle Home Fairs
The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections will be hosting our popular Seattle Home Fairs in early 2020. Jam-packed with useful information about your planned remodel, our permitting process, renting in Seattle, and so much more, this is an event not to be missed!
Visit the North Seattle Home Fair
Once again, the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (SDCI) is hosting the Seattle Home Fair. We’ll have free information for renters, homeowners, and landlords with experts on rental housing rules, coaching on obtaining permits for renovations, and breakout sessions on topics including landslide prevention, backyard cottages, and earthquake retrofits.
South Seattle Home Fair
You’re invited to a South Seattle Home Fair on February 11, 2017, hosted by the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections. This event is your chance to ask questions about your planned remodel and our permitting process, code requirements, and rental housing and tenant assistance program. City staff will also be available to discuss housing, emergency preparedness, landslide awareness, and rain garden information.
