DPD is forming a public review committee to review Chapter 30 (Elevators and Conveying Systems) of the draft 2012 Seattle Building Code. We anticipate that the committee will meet three to four times during October and November for approximately two hours each meeting.
The draft 2012 Seattle Building Code is available for public review and comment. It consists of the 2012 International Building Code (IBC) with proposed amendments. DPD is planning for the 2012 Seattle Building Code to take effect in the summer of 2013.
DPD is moving toward a monthly billing process for land use applications. When implemented, later this fall, monthly invoices will be sent for land use projects which accrue fees during any given month. Invoices will be sent to the financially responsible party who will have 30 days to pay the invoice and avoid the cancellation and collection process.
DPD is developing a revised public review draft of the 2009 Seattle Energy Code with consideration of the comments received and the direction in Resolution 30280. DPD will release that revised draft in April. DPD will then hold additional public review meetings in April to discuss the revised draft 2009 Seattle Energy Code.
