DPD is scoping an environmental impact statement (EIS) that will evaluate the City’s Comprehensive Plan update. The EIS will examine the possible impacts under three different growth scenarios. On March 24, we held a public meeting to discuss the three alternatives and to get public feedback on whether we’re looking at the right alternatives. Did you miss the meeting? DPD is holding five more meetings about the EIS planning alternatives in April. We’ll be in several communities throughout Seattle.
U District Urban Design EIS Public Scoping Meeting
You are invited to attend a scoping meeting for the U District Urban Design EIS (Environmental Impact Statement) on September 24. The EIS will study potential impacts of implementing the U District Urban Design Framework, which was created by members of the community and City planners throughout 2012 and 2013. The upcoming meeting will describe the EIS process, draft zoning alternatives, and topics to be considered in the EIS document.
Roosevelt Rezone Update
An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Scoping meeting was held by DPD on July 21, 2010 for the proposed development being reviewed under project 3010100 (Roosevelt Development Group contract rezone and EIS). Due to the high level of interest in the proposal, DPD wants to make sure everyone has a chance to provide their comment to DPD regarding Scoping for the EIS. DPD has therefore extended the public comment for Scoping to September 1, 2010.
