The City Council recently adopted legislation, that will take effect on June 13, increasing height and density through incentive zoning in the South Lake Union Urban Center. This legislation concludes a multi-year collaboration between the City of Seattle and neighborhood stakeholders to plan the future of the South Lake Union Urban Center.

2012 Codes Adoption Update
The 2012 editions of the Seattle Building, Residential, Existing Building, Mechanical, Fuel Gas, Energy and Plumbing codes are finding their way through the city legislative process. We will post drafts of the legislation on our website in early June.
23rd Avenue Action Plan Community Passion and Engagement
The Central Area community has shown great passion through different stages and levels of engagement for the 23rd Avenue Action Plan that focuses on the community cores at Union, Cherry, and Jackson along 23rd Avenue. From early February to April, we started the project conversation by hosting 5 stakeholder group meetings and attending 9 meetings held by different community organizations.

Client Assistance Memos Renamed to Tips
We just changed the name of our Client Assistant Memos (CAMs) to Tips. The Tip numbers have stayed the same. We made this change to clarify what these documents offer our customers.

DPD released a new Tip, Subdivision Process and Requirements, and a final Director’s Rule, Westlake and 7th Streetscape Concept Plan.
