Virtual Applicant Services Center Available in Spanish and Chinese Languages

SDCI has added in-language assistance to our Virtual Applicant Services Center for customers who prefer to conduct business in Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. Our live chat, support ticketing system, and coaching sessions are now available in these three languages. You can access these services by clicking the green chat icon on the bottom of our contact webpage and selecting your preferred language. Earlier this year, SDCI launched a Virtual Applicant Services Center (Virtual ASC). You can now receive responses to your questions without coming to downtown Seattle. In the future, we will be offering targeted in-person service on the 4th floor of the Seattle Municipal Tower to serve customers who need assistance with accessing our online services or who need to pay fees in cash.

Our Virtual ASC offers two options to get assistance via our Contact Us page:

  1. Chat directly with staff on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Depending on the complexity of your topic, we may convert your live chat into a video coaching session to better answer your question.
  2. Submit a question using our Building & Land Use Questions or Rental Registration & Inspection Questions forms at any time. Staff will respond to your inquiries by email within 2 business days.

The Virtual ASC has an overall customer satisfaction rating of 96% across email and chat channels. We use customer feedback to continually improve this virtual service. Please give it a try and then fill out the short survey to tell us what you think.
