Talk to a City Expert at the Seattle Home Fair!

Have a project you’re stuck on? Need some guidance on renting?  Want to know what’s going on in your community?  Come ask an expert for free at the Seattle home fair on November 8!

When: November 8, 9:00 AM – 3 PM.

Where: Filipino community center.

Connect face-to-face with City experts who can guide you through permits, inspections, code requirements, rental housing rules, and more. This year, we’re partnering with the Seattle Department of Transportation, Department of Neighborhoods, and Seattle City Light to bring even more resources together under one roof.

What to Expect

Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, landlord, or planning your first project, you’ll find practical information and helpful people ready to answer your questions:

  • Ask building experts about construction codes and when you need a “subject-to-field” inspection.
  • Learn more about what you can do to retrofit your home from an earthquake.
  • Get tips on reducing your environmental impact through energy efficiency.
  • Discover what’s now required for a legal rent increase in Seattle.
  • Explore what you can do in your community with Neighborhood match funds.

With 20+ areas of expertise and over 6 hours of live learning sessions, the Home Fair is your chance to learn how to work within City processes and achieve your project goals.
