SDCI is excited to announce the upcoming release of the new Smoke Control Acceptance test form. This form will be a required item for final on all projects with Smoke Control systems that don’t have a requirement for a Special Inspector for Smoke Control assigned to them. The new form will replace all existing “white papers” and will provide consistency and reliability to our customers. The form will be available on the SDCI Forms page on March 15. This form will be required for all systems tested on or after April 1, 2023.
New Requirements for King County Sewer Capacity Forms
SDCI now requires you to include a completed King County Sewer Use Capacity Form when you submit your construction permit application. We require this form for all new construction projects, including Detached Accessory Dwelling Units (DADUs). You must complete, sign, and submit the correct form based on your project’s type of construction.
New Post-Permit Submittal Application and Checklist
DPD has revised the application form for post-permit submittals, including shop drawings, revisions, blanket permits and sprinklers. For most types of submittals, the form requires the same information as it did previously. For revisions, a checklist has been added to the form to fully identify the scope of the revision so that applicable reviews triggered by the post-permit submittal will be identified earlier and more consistently. The revisions checklist must be signed by the primary applicant or the financially responsible party.
