2012 Seattle Energy Code Development
Washington State has amended the 2012 IECC (International Energy Conservation Code). With each new edition of the energy code, Seattle enacts additional rules to reduce the amount of energy consumed by non-residential buildings. A limited set of new Seattle amendments will be proposed for the 2012 Seattle code, based on the 2012 IECC.

DPD 2013 Fees – Adjustments to Permit Service Fees
On Jan. 1, 2013, DPD adjusted its permitting service fees and charges. DPD uses the most recent building valuation data (BVD) published by the International Code Council as a base upon which to create a Seattle BVD table, found in Director’s Rule 1-2013, Implementation of the Fee Subtitle, Building Valuation Data.
