Open House: Building Performance Standards Policy Development

The Office of Sustainability and Environment (OSE) is conducting stakeholder and community engagement on creating draft legislation for new City of Seattle regulations for commercial and multifamily buildings. The draft legislation would apply to commercial and multifamily buildings 20,000 square feet and larger and would reduce climate-polluting emissions and transition towards cleaner, healthier places to live and work. Called ‘Building Performance Standards,’ these carbon emissions targets would become gradually stronger over time towards a goal of cleaner, healthier, ‘net-zero’ carbon emissions buildings by 2050.

Nuevo facilitador de permisos para pequeñas empresas y servicios de permisos dedicados

El Departamento de Construcción e Inspecciones de Seattle (SDCI, por sus siglas en inglés) ofrece servicios personalizados de obtención de permisos para futuros inquilinos de los espacios comerciales vacíos del centro y pequeñas empresas en toda la ciudad. Los inquilinos del centro de la ciudad y las pequeñas empresas se han visto afectados de forma desproporcionada durante esta pandemia. El objetivo de este nuevo servicio es proporcionar asesoramiento temprano a los inquilinos antes de la firma del contrato de arrendamiento, minimizar los costosos requisitos y preparar a las empresas para el éxito reduciendo el tiempo necesario para obtener el permiso.
