June Publication Updates
We updated three Tips and published three final Director’s Rules.
Environmentally Critical Areas Update
The City’s updated environmentally critical areas regulations became effective on May 15, 2017. In addition to the updated regulations, SDCI has updated DR 5-2007, Great Blue Heron Management Plan. SDCI published the proposed Director’s Rule on Thursday, May 25, in the Land Use Information Bulletin. SDCI is taking comment on the updated Director’s Rule through June 9, 2017.

We updated a Tip on mechanical permits, released a new Tip about development site permits, and published two final Director’s Rules.
2017 Changes to Permitting Fees and Other Charges
The Seattle City Council recently adopted the 2017-18 budget, including legislation that implements Seattle DCI fee changes in 2017 to cover wage increases in order to reflect our cost of doing business. On January 1, 2017, these service fees go into effect.
